Our next course will take place on the 28th February 2015 ( theory) and 21st March ( practical evaluation).
Thanks to the guys at the Nissan Off-Road Club we are now in a position to offer accredited training at a vastly reduced rate to our Cross Country policyholders.
Our first course will be run against Unit Standard 254135 –Apply the techniques for operating four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles in on-road and off-road condition.
The benefit to the learner who completes this style of course is that a qualification is gained through a structured process, education, knowledge and skills are integrated into the learning process and the learner is continuously assessed. A good deal of focus is on the quality of learning and at the end of the process competency is assessed and a statement of results will be issued for competent learners.
As you are no doubt aware the future sees a process of self-regulation for off-roading whereby a trail owner will require some measure of competency from an off-road vehicle user, this type of formal training is an excellent departure point!
Courses will be run over two sessions (not consecutive) with the first session covering the theory; this is followed by a written test, the learner then goes home with an assignment which is completed before the practical evaluation.
The course is offered to our policyholders at R 850.00 per person, snacks and refreshments included, for further information please fill in the attached form- please note that on attendance we will require two certified copies of you Identification and Drivers License.
