I suppose the picture of the Augrabies Falls prompted this story ,yet it brought back memories of a trip to the Richtersveld with a good friend Francois Rossouw of “Radio Sonder Grense” fame.

All Terrain adventure is everywhere in this vast landscape, you can 4×4 on numerous trails ,hike, canoe or rubber duck the Orange river and explore al the tiny towns have to offer, it’s an ideal adventure destination with beautiful vistas that will see you returning forever En route to the Richtersveld we explored the Augrabies Falls and the parks 4×4 trail, stopped over in Pella to see the Cathedral and visited the sites of the last battles of the Boer war around Okiep and Springbok.

Then after the best Prego in Port Nolloth off the the Richtrersveld to experience the diversity of this vast National Park, it was over too soon and we had to literally fly back to Johannesburg ,stopping only to see the occasional socialable Weaver nest and the large mine truck near Kathu. Only hope to do this trip again soon, and perhaps again after that.
