Misty Meadow is in the enchanting Oak Street, looking out at the mountains over a natural swimming pool, the central feature of a large and pretty garden, with dozens of roses, lemon trees, lavender and shade. One of Greyton’s most charming cottages, it has been restored to provide modern comforts and spacious indoor/outdoor living areas yet has lost none of its original character. The lounge and dining room are beautifully furnished, opening out onto a wide verandah to enjoy summer days, or warmed by a large wood burner for winter nights of local red wine and conversation. There is also an outdoor fireplace for spring and autumn, with comfy furniture.
There is a TV & DVD player with a wide selection of classic movies for the family and a special selection for children. The good news is there’s no wifi. Rather gather around the pool table or the outdoor braai and switch off to modern stress. Guests can eat inside or outside. Misty Meadow is an easy stroll to the quirky shops and variety of restaurants in Greyton. The Saturday morning country market is a must.
